My take on a classic indian dish

Ingredients
- 1 onions
- 2 clove of garlic
- 1 Tbsp of ground coriander
- 1 Tbsp of ground cumin
- 0.5 Tsp of ground cayenne pepper
- 2 Tsp of roasted cumin seeds
- 1 Tsp of ground turmeric
- 1 Tbsp of curry paste
- 1-2 Tsp of curry powder
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 cup of water
- 1 large can of chickpeas
- 2 Tsp of paprika
- 1 Tsp of garam masala
- 1 Jalapeno
- 1 Olive Oil
Method
- Mince the onion
- Mince the garlic
- Chop the tomatoes
- Roast the cumin seed in a pan (low heat)
- Heat the olive oil at medium heat
- Add the onion, sauté for 3-5 minutes
- Add the garlic
- Turn heat to medium-low
- Add the coriander, ground cumin, cayenne and turmeric, curry powder
- Stir a tad
- Add the tomatoes and the hot pepper and cook for a few minutes
- Add the curry paste
- Add the chickpeas and a cup of water, stir
- the roasted cumin, paprika, garam masala, and salt
- Cook covered for 20 minutes
- Cook un-covered for 10 minutes
