Details
Ingredients Beef
- 1 lb beef sirloin - cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Pepper
Ingredients Vegetables
- 1 or 2 red bell pepper (you can mix color)
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 inch of fresh ginger
Ingredients Black Pepper Sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Fresh Crack Pepper
- 1 Tbsp of pre-cracked black pepper
- 1 Tsp black pepper (freshly cracked!)
- 1 Tsp of Sugar
- 2 Tsp of cornstarch
- 1/4 cup of chicken or beef broth (or water)
Ingredients Finish
- 2-3 stalk of Green onion
Method
- Cut the beef in bite-size chunks
- Sprinkle the cornstarch on the beef (I place the beef & cornstarch in a closed container, then shake well), add the soy sauce, sesame oil and cracked pepper, shake again
- Marinate the beef for at least 15 minutes
- In the meantime, cut the red bell pepper and onion in 1.5-2 cm squares
- Peel & Slice the garlic (finely)
- Peel & Slice the ginger (finely)
- Set aside the veggies
- In a bow, mix all the ingredient for the black pepper sauce
- Cut the green onions, set aside
- In a hot wok or skillet, place some oil, bring to high heat, then sear the beef until brown, set the beef aside
- Bring down the heat to medium or medium high
- Add some oil to the wok if necessary, toss in the veggies, stir-fry until tender, should take a few minutes
- Add the beef back to the pan
- Add the black pepper sauce, mix until it thickens, about 2 or 3 minutes
